Hi! I’m not going to get super wordy in this post, just want to let the pictures mostly speak for themselves. I took up Kristi Mauerer’s challenge. It was hard, there are certain things the avatar just won’t do. In RL I have a very heart shaped face, I couldn’t seem to get it for SL. Alas. Here is my attempt though.

Whaaaat? 2 posts within the same month from Autumn??!? Yes, this is probably a sign of the coming apocalypse, but I am actually writing two blargh posts. Probably you’ll never hear from me again after this as all my creativity will have been completely lost. On to the show!
This delightful ensemble (picture me sipping tea out of a tiny dainty teacup with my pinky out) is from Tres Blah. You know that girl, Juliette Westerburg? The one who is making bazillions of lindoleans at Armidi? Yeah, well her first shop is pretty much awesome too, there are some great vests, dresses, scarves, bags, all kinds of fun things. I’m wearing ‘Painted Glory’ and oh what a glory it is. There is a layered effect tank, jeans, and even some gloves that give your fingers that lovely, “I’ve been busy being an ARTISTE” look. Very cute. I’ve paired it with a scarf from Tres Blah, called the knitted scarf in cupcake. I kinda love scarves, but I tend to only wear them with lots of other layers in RL, so I thought it would be fun to put with a tank. You should definitely check out her shop, there are some great and funny tees there, I haven’t taken of my ‘the internet is for Lovers’ shirt in days.
Hair and bag are by Gritty Kitty. I think it’s no secret that I have a total fangirl crush on Noam Sprocket. I was at his shop a week or two ago and he was there and on the inside I was all “SQWEEEEEE IT’S NOAMMMMMZZZZ”. Then he teleported away and I was sad. Probably for the best that I didn’t run up and start washing his exalted feet or something. Cause, you know, that might be weird. So, the hair, is called Creative, and look! It has paintbrushes, how much perfection is that? The bag is Markup & Style, and it has a buncha texture change options for the front. It looks like Noam is also going to release a special painty bag for the Creator’s Stamp Rally, so if you don’t already have a card or two get thee to Gritty Kitty on the double!
My hawt pink skully shoes are from Kari and I kinda lurve them. They’re versatile (well as versatile as pink high-tops can be) and the best part is I can wear them with my jeans without having to worry about the hem messing with the top of the prims. I also ended up getting the fire hydrant, it’s colour-changing and has 3 different poses by Torrid Midnight. It’s perfect for any grungy decore, and fun for photos, for sure (alliteration, how I love you)!

I decided to take up Alaska Metropolitan’s challenge. So in answer to the age old question: “Am I ruthed?”
Yup! You know… I think the biggest problem I have with the ruth shape (aside from not having *nearly* enough ass) is how wide-set her eyes are, but with the right makeup, I think that can be overcome. Enter the Gala/Curio skin ‘Mismatch’ that Gala was kind enough to put freckles on for me. My god, these skins… seriously, I haven’t taken them off since I got them. They’ve totally replaced my previous ‘me’ skins. I cannot talk about them enough, the nose, the makeup options, the shading…. And.the.freckles. They are soooo close to what RL freckles look like, some darker, some lighter, not exactly the same size. They’re awesome. AWESOME. Go buy all of them. I’m at 13 and counting, and I totally foresee getting more. Gala has a faboo deal where you can buy 8 skins of *any* shade or makeup for 5k. Now. I shouldn’t have to elaborate on what a great frickin’ deal this is. But in case I do…. THIS IS A GREAT FRICKIN’ DEAL! Seriously, any shade? Any makeup? Could not be any sweeter.
Ok, I’m gonna stop humping Gala’s leg for a minute to talk about the outfit. I wanted a simple beach bunny outfit for Ruthy, so I chose the Lala Foofoo Ring bikini in pink that debuted at the Lingerie Expo, and the top is the gauze Cover-up. Very much something I’d wear in RL, if only the beach in Vancovuer didn’t make me freeze to damn death. Alas, I can dream.
The hair is from Truth, I believe it was released as a dollarbie but is now on for regular price. But you’d better hurry because he is retiring a buncha stuff and has marked down all hair and clothes. Clothes starting at 10L, and the hair is 50L for a regular 3-colour pack, 150L for the multi-colour pack, and just 350L for the fat pack! It’s until further notice, but you should hurry nonetheless.

This post is dedicated to Dove Swanson. She makes poses, Long Awkward Pose(s), and I’m addicted to them and like a good crack dealer she always seems to have some newness for me (how cute is the name of her store, btw?).
She’s oh so good, and she just recently redid all of her older pose sets and made 2 versions of each pose, one at priority 4 and a lower priority version for AOs. Considering she has at least eleventy million* poses, that is no small feat! She’s also one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. And dirty! Good lord that woman could make a prostitute blush.
I decided to take some pictures of my favourite poses of hers. So I started clicking. And clicking some more. And then, after I was finally finished, I realised I had nearly 40 pictures of her poses, these being my ultra-faves. Seriously, no exaggeration, I LOVE her poses, I went through, and counted, I have over 200 of her poses, and I cannot get enough. The names make me giggle and they’re just really well done. I don’t think I could say enough about them. So the following are my hasitly edited [LAP] montages. Each pose is labelled, but forgive the messy handwriting, I’m still getting used to my tablet.
This outfit I just kind of threw together. I’ve dubbed it my SL-Laundry day ensemble, since it looks like I just put on whatever I had handy. The hair is again by Noam Sprocket’s Gritty Kitty, it’s called Penny after the cool nerd with the talking dog and computer book from Inspector Gadget. The top is actually part of the “New Money” outfit from Kyoot Army. I love the shirt part, and the dress itself is really well-textured and beautiful.
My shoes THAT I LOVE are from Urban Bomb Unit. They made me squeal in Real life when I saw them. Sad, I know. Just about every part of them changes, they’re scripted to texture change. There are seven million* options, and I wish my chucks in RL were so cool. And smell-less. The shorts that reveal almost the whole of my ass are from Surf Shack Co.They are hand-drawn, and gorgeous, they’re called tiny shorts, and I got them in Lemon.

Wow, I am like totally a child of the 80’s. And thus ends my use of totally for this post. *crosses fingers* Anyway, I saw this outfit from Devilish Cupcake and I had to have it. Actually it’s not an entire outfit, you can buy each piece separately and there are LOTS of really great stuff there that isn’t retro as well. It’s a great shop, and you can rollerskate in it. Which is TEH OSM. Anyway, these pieces are the Running Shorts for Chicks which come in 6 different colours (I chose red, obvs) the top is called Rainbow Halter Shirt, and the leg warmers are called Hot Chick Leg Warmers, appropriately enough. The leg warmers come in 7 different shades.
I also put on the Lulu by Celestial Studios over the knee tube socks in pink mix, but you get four different versions of pink. But there are lots of other colour packs available. Skin is also by Starley, one of her seasonal skins, it’s Spring in the Fresh makeup, and of course it’s the freckled version. I can’t get enough of her freckles.
The accessories are by Artilleri. Now I admit, I’m not a big jewelry wearer in SL. Even in RL I don’t wear much, I just can’t be arsed to bother with putting crap on. Because I’m beautiful just as I am dammit. However, Antonia makes some REALLY great stuff, both accessories and clothes. She’s also super sweet. The earrings are the glitter love earrings and the colour is called 1984. Perfection! Seriously, how cute are these? You get 7 versions total, but I think these are my favourites. The bracelets are also by Artilleri, they’re called lulu, and I got the fatpack. I’m wearing blue and yellow, and though they’re supposed to both go on your left arm, I just hopped on a posing stand and put one on my right arm as well.
Then, of course you can’t be 80’s without wearing a side pony tail. This hair is from *Truth* and it’s called Missy, I’m wearing the colour Blooooood. No, wait, it’s just called Blood. I really like his hair, it’s pretty interesting, and again, not styles you see just anywhere on the grid. So that concludes my journey into the recent past. Come with me next time, won’t you?

I took lots of pictures of today’s outfit, mostly because I enjoy wasting time in Photoshop. I started with hair again, this is new from ETD called Charley, there are two options with this hair. You can wear the plain black version which is mod, or you can wear the colour-changing one that is no mod. I think it has something to do with scripts in the hat. Either that or magical fairies. Neither of which I completely understand. I am wearing Charley in Ebony, I’ve been wearing black hair a lot lately, so I have been buying Elika’s Naturals II pack, it comes with several colours but no tipped versions. I prefer the option to wear whatever colour my mood strikes. Anyway, I love the look of this hair, it made me want to listen to Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson. Yes, I’m totally old enough to remember when MJ was cool.
I went with the Suave outfit from Winter Moon, I have every version of the suave look that Arbel Vogel has made, one was recently re-released as a freebie in her group. I LOVE this outfit, it’s sexy cool, without looking like a hooker. Lord knows I look like a hooker plenty enough as it is in my RL, I don’t need to bring that into my SL as well. Also wearing the Canimal lust half cup bra underneath the sheer version of the top, but it comes in non-sheer as well for you less daring folk.
Shoes are from Shiny Things, called classics in black, I chose to go with the cherry accented version. I’m not a big shoe wearer, in either life. I don’t like feet really. I find it easiest to avoid shoes altogether usually. But I’ve got a thing for Shiny Things, I think Fallingwater Cellardoor does some pretty awesome things. Especially the newer sculpted stuff, it’s fab.
And last but *definitely* not least, please have a look at my new skin obsession. It’s called Glitterati by Laura Leandros under the brand Mojo. I’m wearing tone 4 in the Malachite makeup, she recently had this makeup marked down for St. Paddy’s day. Each makeup pack comes with 4 option, a day or night look with choice of matte or glossed lips. Oh Glitterati, how do I love thee? I might have to do an all skin post next for these. The only regret is that there aren’t any freckles. I’m very attached to my freckles in RL, and in SL. So hey Laura? Can you make some freckles? I’d heart you until the end of time.

I love this newest collaboration of Sinistyle and Refuge. This is the Trish outfit, and I love love love it. The texturing on the pants is suh-weet. Also, I have to admire the belt, I don’t know how they did it, but they managed to make a belt that doesn’t hover around my hips and STILL manages to not be eaten by my giant arse. Don’t get me wrong, I love my shape, but most prim belts do not. So go get this outfit, I believe it’s sold piece by piece as well, but you save some Lindens if you buy it all together.
I’m also wearing Canimal’s new skin in Lust, Essence of Ether. I really like the makeup options she has, and the lips are mod, and she also included several different eyebrow choices. Oh and eyes, the eyes that come with it are ultra-realistic in 4 different colours.
The hair is from Gritty Kitty, it is Gazette Hair in Red hots, I love Noam’s hair, he makes really great interesting styles that you don’t see everywhere on the grid. Also, the streaks, I <3 the streaks. There is tons of movement to this hair, and some great alpha-textures that you can’t really see because I suck at the picture-takingness.
I also love these new Canimal Blingphones. They’re so cute, and I think they’re just plain neat. Like my stunning use of adjectives? I R Smart. Anyway, the coolest part (and also the hardest thing to take photos of are the little bling music notes that waft out from the headphones. I turned my itunes WAY up and took some fun shots for this post. (By the way, yanni is the only thing in my itunes right now, I love men with mustaches and long hair, what can I say?)

Yes, I realize that I’m incredibly slow in posting my ‘looks of the day’ but give me a break I’m just a tad busy. I also got a wacom tablet that I’ve fallen in love with, I want to have little pixel babies with it. I’ll try to be more consistent on the blog front. On to the Post!
So today is a retro-y vibe, with an entire ensemble from Nyte ‘N’ Day and pretty much everything else from Celestial Studios.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m a complete slut for Starley’s…. well everything. I love her skins, I love her hair, I love her clothes. I want to be Starley when I grow up. So today, I started with the hair, it’s called “Whitney” it’s in Ember, her hair comes in 3 colour packs and I just love the textures. This one has a scripted colour-changing headband, and I loved the big-ness of it, I thought it looked very retro-y.
Which went very well with my new dress from Nyte ‘N’ Day called Retesk in Purple. It comes in 3 different patterns and each pattern comes in 2 colours (6 colours in all for the mathematically challenged). This one is the Lupus Edition, so 100% of the proceeds go to Lupus Canada! It’s a great deal and it’s for a good cause. Not to mention it’s fricking gorgeous. The texturing, as with all Nyte’s things is amazing, and it comes with 3 different skirt options, 2 are sculpted and a sculpted prim that goes around your neck. It also includes the tights. Beautiful work, srsly.
I also wanted to mention, all the poses I used for this post (and I think the last one too) have been from Long Awkward Pose, and aside from having one of the best named shops in SL, Dove Swanson also makes terrific poses for *super* reasonable prices. Anyone who loves taking pictures of their AV (like me!) should definitely check her out.

So today I wanted to look a little punky (no, not like brewster, I would have had to up my bewb sliders). I was shopping at Hybrid and found the store next door, called Eat Me. There was a *very* cute jacket, called the Happi Hoodi. It comes in 3 lengths, and there is also one without the boob shadows for guys. 2 styles of sculpted cuffs (with bracelets and without) and 3 different styles of pockets. I didn’t show the pockets options because I chose to wear the short version of the top. Because I’m a slooty who likes to show off her belly. My favourite part though, is the sculpted hoody. It comes in 3 different ‘ear’ styles, Kitty, Bear, and Bunny, also a plain hoody option. Soooo cute, I’m wearing the bunny ears to accent my hybrid Usagi ears and tail.
My socks and tattoo are from Etch’d the socks are the Roughed Up Socks Redux. They comes in more options than the original with damaged knees, wearing one leg or both, and different prim attachments including ankles! The tattoo is called Creeper, and I think it’s so dainty and hardcore at the same time. It comes on 2 layers, and you can wear top or bottom or both, obviously. Also, they’re colourable, but I can’t be arsed to figure that out.
